Sorry if I butted in, but when accounts get a ban period, how do they post on threads, if you cannot log into your account?

I read some parts of this conversation, but i did not understand how an anonymous person becomes the identifiable guest for the forum.

You see, this is the Major chat room, and guests can post. As in people not logged in, or banned, or not signed up.

yea, they get to post here as a guest, but they can't post in any other part of the forum. The only way for them NOT to log in at all is an IP ban

hmm, there should be more security, by getting more mods/admins to ban their secondary and tertiary IP addresses.

We're doing that. I was banning all IP addresses that alexpja used a few days ago.
