This is the official thread for the DSi, with detailed info about the DSi.

The DSi was released in Japan around November 1st. It actually beat the PSP in Japan.
The DSi is thinner than the DS Lite and has bigger screens. The power button is inside the system and to adjust the volume, you press two buttons (instead of a slider) on the left side of the system. The DSi also has two cameras, one on the inside and one on the outside. The DSi also has an SD card slot on the right side of the system where you can save your pictures and music. The DSi has a media player to play your music and while playing your music, you can mess around with the speed and pitch of the music with your stylus on the touch screen. The DSi doesn't have a GBA slot so you can't play the games that use it (I don't use it much.) While on the menu of the DSi, you can take out the game cartridge WHILE THE SYSTEM IS STILL ON and switch the game, just like on a Wii while switching games. The DSi also comes with the Opera browser built in but it's really slow and not really worth using. You can also download updates for the system. It has a channel system similar to the Wii. Look at the video and pictures below for more info.
